Then we did some "Flooding" with Riley, AKA "Hell on Wheels" (she was today!) which desensitizes a dog to distractions in a new way.
Group LL, whew Riley and Nova were JACKED UP FOOLISH dogs, both of them today.
Later, after QT and Kennel Cool Down, for both dogs, Jessi worked Riley against food.
And then, still later again in the day, Jessi demo's the Week 5 Down Correction, with Riley, in Slo-Mo
By the time Buck drove up, Riley would NOT EVEN look at the food, nor lunge for it. Nope, by this time, she had learned that food on the ground was poison. And so she left it alone.
ReplyDeleteWhat a day-:)
I am so happy Riley is progressing. The LL was crazy, those two were wired today. There is so much to remember but i’m trying to keep up. Thank you all for the great work you are doing. You guys are awesome. It seems Riley’s sits have gotten better. She is more attentive to her handler. Just so happy so far.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Buck. We are working diligently to get her trained for you.
ReplyDeleteWe too see her progress and are pleased with her learning efforts.

Each time I work with Riley I notice her paying more attention and not so reactive to everything around her. She is showing much better self control. I’m excited to see her progress through the retrieve course.
ReplyDeleteTrina,
DeleteThe Retrieve Course transforms the owner and the dog. Wait n see, the best is yet to come, I promise you will be amazed!
