And this…
I wish you could see Ruth in this video. She was on place to the right of the camera. Riley really wanted to interact with her. Ruth had her game face on and wouldn’t even acknowledge Riley. She was so calm while Riley was trying everything she could to get to her.
I really didn’t want to post these videos but it’s good to watch them so I can see what’s working and what’s not. Riley is a great dog. She is going to make me a better handler for sure. My footwork needs to be cleaner and I need to start doing some upper body workouts!!!!
Then Roxanne worked Riley through the tunnel of dogs…
Very nice. Good job Mary and Roxanne. I love watching all the videos. It helps so much to have a different perspective of working her. Just curious, what happened to make Ruth so frustrated with her? I’m just trying to learn more about “dog language”.
ReplyDeleteIt was actually Redd. She is the Pack leader so it’s her responsibility to correct inappropriate behavior. Roxanne is going to post sequential photos as well as explain what happened. Pack dynamics are so interesting. Ruth on the other hand is one of the calmest dogs I’ve ever met. She is truly a sweet dog. I think Roxanne has a different perspective from her camera so you may get to see her. It was pretty funny Then there was Pree and Molly who would not even look at Riley. They trust their pack leader Redd to take care of business 🤭
ReplyDeleteInteresting, so Redd was letting Riley know she was not being appropriate? The other dogs just sat with no care in the world. Interesting dynamics.
