Longe line work to begin. Riley did really well. Payed attention and stayed right with me. No collar corrections today on longe line work. We then went to short leash and worked against food distractions. (Sausage, bacon, cheese, and a hot dog). This was extremely difficult for her. We worked for about 20 minutes before she finally decided she needed to ignore the food and walk. It was a mentally challenging session today. She is such a sweet girl.
Riley’s May 10th training session.
ReplyDeleteAnd you have earned Riley's respect, she IS believing you ARE her trustworthy leader. How do I know this is happening? Because I can see👀 the shift in Riley in this video. She's moving forward on the "Heel" immediately. She's giving you AS. She's eyeing the tempting food, BUT then obeying. Most of all, she is giving you eye contact.
ReplyDeleteYup, Riley's learning beautifully! And you, Trina, are doing a great job training her!
Well done.

I am very happy with the training. I see the difference in her. I know she is smart, it’s just channeing that to obedience. Couldn’t be happier.
