A place to learn a new language, the Koehler Method of Dog Training, which is an entire language of communication between owner(s) and their dog. Let the journey begin...
For some important learning and education, please review these ILL videos with Riley.
*Review, 1st, the one in the snow, March 26th as that was Riley's 1st intro to ILL.
*Review 2nd, the 3 videos at Monroe Soccer fields, Mary, then Roxanne, then Buck doing ILL with Riley.
These videos will help you understand why, on Monday, April1st, with Jessi working Riley, she FINALLY was able to say "No" to the planted distractions of Buck and I. AND she finally chooses to remain with Jessi.
This is the point of excellent ILL work, the green (not trained) dog choosing to remain with their handler DESPITE tempting distractions. All done silently, with nary a word spoken. ILL ALWAYS, still, after all these years, impresses me in how fast an unschooled dog learns to choose comfort (remaining beside their handler) versus discomfort (moving away from their handler).
